After a 3 year break due to the pandemic we at he Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club are delighted to be holding the 46th Scottish Transport Extravaganza in the magnificent grounds of Glamis Castle over the weekend of 9th & 10th July.

This event is regarded as the premier vintage motoring spectacular in Scotland and is one of the largest of its kind in Britain.

This display will bring together over 1800 vehicles representing a wide array of transport comprising veteran, vintage and classic vehicles and machinery (cars, commercials, military, tractors, steam engines, motor cycles, static engines and exhibits)

A significant part of the display is created by the various car clubs who attend this event; and with these car clubs we get to see many iconic vehicles of all genres.   2022 will see a special compound set aside for the 100 years of Austin, there will be an array of Austin’s representing all transportation, a sight to see.  In addition to the vehicles the event attracts over 150 Stands including auto jumble, motor trade, antiques and fundraising stalls.

A craft village is also present where craft persons make, display and sell their own goods.

In the ring to entertain this year we will have Stannage Stuntworld with his motorcycle stunt show, which is set to thrill the crowds.

Filling each day will be the usual variety of parades and pipe bands and amusements for adults and children of all ages.

To cater for the multitude of event goers a healthy selection of quality food vendors will be present to provide snacks, refreshments, full meals or simply a cool ice cream.

Holding the Extravaganza in the grounds of Glamis Castle provides a magnificent backdrop to our event and guided tours of the Castle are available to those who wish to participate.
