Angus Outdoor Adventure

There’s and amazing outdoor adventure for everyone in Angus. This compact region of Scotland boasts the eastern gateway to the Cairngorm Mountains, vast swathes of golden sands and sandstone cliffs hugging the North Sea, hidden dens fringed by ancient woodlands, atmospheric waterfalls and gorges and majestic rivers that flow the length of Angus.

The abundance of a natural beauty is here on our doorstep and it is championed by many a proud Angus resident passionately sharing their special Angus experience. 

From the exploring the ‘Arbroath Cliff Trail’, paddling your way around Angus’s SUP hotspots, taking a cross-country adventure from the Cairngorm Mountains to the North Sea on the ‘Wild South Esk’ or discovering  off the beaten track ‘Adventures in Angus’ loved by the locals – Angus has a huge outdoors to explore!

Angus Tourism Cooperative have developed a new venture – ‘Angus Outdoor Adventure’. The group was formed in 2021 to concentrate on outdoor and adventure activities in Angus with the aim of putting Angus on the map as the must visit Scottish adventure destination it deserves to be. Future collaborative opportunities may include sponsorship of publications and events, neighbourhood links to adventure activities for businesses, itinerary and product development, and access to funding.
