Come and join us as we find out about Carnoustie Country, Angus Council’s golf destination marketing campaign which incorporates 30 golf courses in and around Angus.

Golf is a key economic driver for Angus, delivering more £20 million annually to the locally economy and sustains almost 900 jobs. It is a priority sector which attracts visitors to Angus from all over the world.

Our flagship golf course is Carnoustie Championship Course which has hosted golf’s biggest Major – The Open – 8 times. The last time The Open was held at Carnoustie was in 2018 when the event attracted 173,000 spectators and delivered over £20 million in direct economic benefit to the local region.

Jane works closely with the local golf industry group and golf tourism businesses, including golf courses, accommodation providers, tour operators, food and drink producers and other service providers to promote Carnoustie Country and to attract visitors to play our unique courses and to stay longer in the region.

The boundary of Carnoustie Country extends beyond the county of Angus and into the north tip of Fife, east Perthshire and all of Dundee and collectively sit under the brand strapline of “Scotland’s Most Exciting Golf Destination”.
